Genevieve Marie Faehnle, 62, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2025. A loving wife, sister, stepmother, and friend, Genevieve lived her life with a generosity of spirit that touched everyone around her. She was the devoted wife of her husband, Jim, and a proud stepmother to Jeremy and Amanda. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Thomas and Loretta Faehnle, whom she cherished deeply.

Genevieve spent nearly 30 years at JP Morgan Chase/Bank One, where her professionalism, dedication, and warmth left a lasting impression. Outside the workplace, she was known as a hostess extraordinaire-someone whose gatherings felt like celebrations of connection. Gen loved to cook and had a special talent for setting a gorgeous table, always curating guest lists with intention. She had an incredible ability to bring people together, ensuring that everyone who entered her home felt seen, welcomed, and linked to others in some meaningful way. Her friends were exceptionally important to her, and she leaves behind many whom she loved just as dearly as family. No one was a stranger to Genevieve; she made a point to learn people's stories and meet them with genuine curiosity. Her open heart, attentive nature, and ease of conversation made her someone others gravitated toward-someone who created instant comfort and lasting connection.

Genevieve valued volunteer work as an essential part of her life, giving her time generously to causes she believed in. She was also a devoted dog lover, and her beloved pups-Molly, Cassie, and Howie-brought her immense joy. She is survived by her husband Jim; her stepchildren Jeremy and Amanda; her brothers Tom (Kathy) and Pat (Barb) Faehnle; many cherished nieces and nephews; a wide circle of dear friends; and her loyal dogs, Molly, Cassie, and Howie.

Details regarding funeral services are still being developed. For those who wish to memorialize Genevieve, the family suggests making a donation to one of her favorite organizations, Rescued Ohio, which works to care for and save dogs throughout the area and through whom she was able to find Cassie and Howie.

Genevieve will be remembered for her loving, caring, and kind spirit-for her ability to make any space warmer, any table more inviting, and any person feel valued. Her legacy of connection, compassion, and hospitality will live on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know her.
