Asper Funeral HomeGenevieve "Jenny" Jackson went home to her Lord on November 8, 2025, in Choteau, Montana. She was just short of her 90th Birthday. Jenny was born December 11, 1935 in Waterford, VA to Paul and Nellie (Leith) Baker.
Jenny was raised on a dairy farm in Virginia. After high school she traveled to Washington DC to work for the CIA decoding messages during the Korean conflict. There she met Dean Jackson who was in the Army. Dean & Jenny were married on January 19, 1957 in Washington DC and spent their honeymoon driving to Montana to begin their married life.
In 1968 they settled in Shelby, Montana. They had five children whom Jenny stayed home to raise. After her children were raised, she went to work in 1974 for the USDA-FSA and retired from there in 1993.
Dean and Jenny took trips on their motorcycle and wintered in Yuma, Arizona for a few years. Jenny loved to grow a big garden and beautiful flowers. She also loved to do needlepoint and read. She will be remembered for making the best Christmas cookies and candy!
About 9 years ago Dean and Jenny sold their family home in Shelby and moved to Choteau to be near their oldest daughter, Joy. Jenny had been living in the Beehive Homes of Choteau for the last five years.
Jenny is preceded in death by her parents Paul and Nellie Baker, her sister Elizabeth Baker, her brother Gordon Baker, sister in law Edith Warmbrod and her husband Dean of 66 years.
Jenny is survived by her children Joy (Mark) Hitchcock of Choteau, Jeff (Rhonda) Jackson of Shelby, Jim (Alex) Jackson of Idaho, Steve (Tammie) Jackson of Shelby, Jennifer (Bob) Kuster of Oilmont; 12 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great Great Grandchild.
