Genevieve S. "Genni" Price, 61, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Bridgwater Healthcare Center on December 16, 2024. Genni was born on September 24th, 1963, as the sixth born of seven children of William G. Price and Barbara J. Stahl-Price-Finch.
Genni was a graduate of Broad Ripple High School with which she was so proud of. She looked back on her youth as some of her fondest years, working at The Bulldog, and all of the friends and chosen family she made along the way.
Genni devoted her life to her children, Landon and Shane, her friends and family, her precious animals, her music and her concerts with Shane and friends, and traveling. Some of her favorite places to travel were Montana and Texas. Some of her favorite concerts (and bands) were Styx, The Eagles, Stevie Nicks, Lynard Skynard, and Led Zeppelin. And while she loved all of the concerts she attended, her absolute favorites were spent with her son, Shane.
Genni was especially proud of her time in service of our country in the United States Air Force.
Genni didn't know a stranger. She was happy to start a conversation with anyone and everyone, and had no fear of doing so. She touched everyone she came in contact with, and made a lasting impact with sometimes nothing but a gentle smile. Her stories looking back on her incredible life always heavily centered around the people she met and the relationships she gained a long her journey.
Mom, Genni, would want us to listen to Best of Times by Styx and celebrate her life.
Genni was survived by her sons, Seth L. "Landon" Price, and Shane H. Flick, her brothers William G. "Bill" Price II, and Alan Finch, her sisters, Tamara "Tammy" Price-Terry, Julia Arney, and Mary E. "Beth" Bates, many precious nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father William G. Price, mother, Barbara J. Stahl-Price-Finch, brother Dr. Jack Price, daughter Jessica Lynn Price, and Stepfather-in-Law Alan "Grampi" Finch.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, December 27, from 9:30 am to 11 am, with a Memorial Mass at 11 am, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 4217 Central Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46205. Genni’s Final Resting Place will be at Calvary Cemetery in Indianapolis.
