Geoffrey Thomas Hagadone passed away doing what he loved on April 14, 2025 at the age of 53. Geoff was born on June 26th 1971 to Robert and Helen Hagadone in San Diego, California. Geoff was such a loving father, brother, son, uncle, cousin, grandfather, and friend. Three years later in 1974, his sister Susan was born into the family. He graduated from Poplar High School in 1989. He then attended Billings Vo-Tech right after. Geoff came back to Poplar to help his father with the family farm. He then met the love of his life LaVonne Black Dog in 1997. While with LaVonne they had three beautiful daughters, Emily, Nancy, and Tracy Hagadone. The family lived their lives on the Hagadone ranch north of Chelsea where Geoff continued to help raise black angus cattle and farm with this father. Starting at the age of 5, Geoff was driving trucks and continued to do so for the rest of his life. On his free time, Geoff loved to rope, attend rodeos, and especially attending school and sporting event for his kids. During this time, he gave himself the title of “Team Dad”. Later in life dad became very involved in the Native American culture and the traditions. This is where he met a lot of his very close friends. There wasn’t a powwow or sweat ceremony that he didn’t attend. He also found peace and a place when he sat around a drum. In 2020, Geoff began working for the Beery Brothers where he took pride and joy in trucking for Brett and Bryce. Here he got to continue doing what he loved until the very end. In January 2021, Geoff met his granddaughter and the light of his Willow Faye.
There wasn’t a time or place where he wasn’t talking about his princess. He loved being a papa. Geoff had a lot of good friends and was very well known by many. He was a very helpful, caring to anyone. He made such an impact on everyone he met. He will be truly missed by many.
Geoff was survived by mother, Beth; his sister, Susan Twichel (Josh); his nephews, RJ (Cierra), John; his nieces, Barbara, Brenda, and Paula; LaVonne Black Dog and his daughters, Nancy, Tracy, and Emily Hagadone (Ejay Ollinger); granddaughter, Willow Faye and Jazmine Black Dog, the Reids, and his adopted family the Gray Hawks; and many other family members and friends.
