Geoffrey Bryan Drum, 54 of Newport (formerly of New Bloomfield) passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 20th, 2024 at Penn State Hampden Medical Center in Enola, Pa.
Born March 13,1970, he was the son of the late Judith A. (Harms) Drum and Cameron E. Drum. He graduated from the Capital Area Intermediate Unit (CAIU) in June of 1991 and became a life member of the New Bloomfield Fire Company.
He loved being a part of the fire company and was warmly included in monthly meetings, annual carnivals and the annual New Bloomfield Street Fairs. He also participated in the Special Olympics and annual fishing derbies.
Geoffrey worked at Pollack Center Industrial Training from 1991 through February 2023. He joined the Highland United Presbyterian Church and enjoyed attending and participating in weekly bible studies. He also enjoyed going to the Newport Family Restaurant (NFR) and was warmly welcomed by all NFR staff.
He is survived by his father, Cameron E. Drum, step-mother Constance, siblings Cameron E. and Kimberlee H. Drum; half-sister Kristin (Jeff) Jensen; nephew, Jackson and niece, Nancy-Rose; Uncle David (Candyce) Drum and cousins Stacy Lashbrook and family, as well as, Kristy Taylor and family all of Texas.
In lieu of cards and flowers, please make a contribution in his honor, to the Highland United Presbyterian Church or the New Bloomfield Fire Company.
A celebration of life will be held March 9, 2025 from 2-4 pm @ Highland United Presbyterian Church, 11 Church Rd. Newport, Pa. with Pastor Nancy McClure officiating.

Geoffrey was always at fire house in newbloomfield, He always greated me with a smile and a Hi Ya when he would walk past. Such a sweet person. He will be greatly missed. Many prayers for his family.
