Geoffrey Alan Guillot, aged 65, tragically left this world on October 27, 2024, in Norfolk, VA following a bicycling accident. Born on March 8, 1959, to Andrea Kosar and the late George Edward Guillot Sr., Geoff was a son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend whose life touched many.
Geoff received his early education at Larrymore Elementary and Rosemont Middle School, followed by Lake Taylor High School. As a teenager he became a member of MENSA due to his high intelligence. His professional journey as a talented painter and craftsman showcased his meticulous skill and creativity, which were admired by all who knew him.
A man of deep faith, Geoff was a long-time member of Vineyard Community Church in Virginia Beach. His spirituality was profound, and he was an avid student of the Bible, integrating its teachings into every aspect of his life. Geoff's passions also included fishing, being on the water, running his dogs, agriculture, and camping.
A great teacher, Geoff was known for his incredible, vast knowledge of various subjects including history, music, cars, apothecary, animals, painting, electric, building and natural medicine. Geoff was generous and thoughtful; known to be the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back. He was a conversationalist and interacting with others and everyone who crossed his path was something he was known for and something he enjoyed doing. He loved to pass his knowledge onto others, especially his children and grandchildren, and through that his legacy will live on.
He is survived by his loving family: children, John Brown (Sheri), Helen "Chrissy" Brown (Drew), Heather Guillot (Bob), and Whitney Guillot; mother, Andrea Kosar and stepfather Ronald Frank Kosar; siblings, Denise Davies (Jeff), Rebecca Griffin (Brian), Eric "Duaine" Osborne (Rita) and stepbrother Ronald Kosar Jr. (Kristen); and grandchildren, Michael Grondin, Jessie Brant, Casin Brown, Brooks Brown, and Brynleigh Brown; and his children's mothers Deborah Guillot and Elizabeth Cole; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Geoff was preceded in death by his father, George Edward Guillot Sr., brothers, George "Sonny" Edward Guillot Jr., and brother John Branch Johnson.
Services to honor Geoff's life will be held at Hollomon-Brown Tidewater Chapel, 8464 Tidewater Drive, Norfolk, VA on November 9th, 2024, at 1 PM. A reception will follow from 2 PM to 4 PM at the American Legion Post #327, 705 Lesner Ave., Norfolk, VA.
Geoff's generous spirit and thoughtful nature will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Even in passing Geoff's generosity has poured over by choosing to donate his organs so that others may live. His teachings and love will also continue to live on through his family and the countless lives he touched.

I went to elementary, middle and high school with Geoff. He and his sister Becky were nice, they were like twins. Geoff reach out to me when my nephew was killed in 2017, I hadn't spoke to him in decades. It was nice to speak with him. I'm so sorry for his family having to lose him so young. I know Geoff is now living in paradise and it doesn't get better then that. Rest easy friend.
