Georgana Eloise Bond, 81, a recent resident of Appleton, WI, passed away at 3:23 PM, Wednesday, June 12th, 2024, at Touchmark Senior Living.
She was born May 16th, 1943 in Peoria, IL. Her parents were William Eugene and Mary Elizabeth (Cornell) Watkins. She married James Edward Bond on June 10th, 1967. He preceded her in death on Sept. 16th, 2019.
Surviving are brother, Frank Watkins, of Melbourne, FL; son, Garth (Julie Janus) Bond of Appleton, WI; and granddaughter Elizabeth Bond of Appleton, WI.
She was a school teacher, a reading tutor focusing on dyslexia, a nanny, and a homemaker. She was an active member at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Winston-Salem, NC, and later at Chapel in the Pines in Chapel Hill, NC.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Pastor’s Discretionary fund (which goes directly to needs like rent assistance and electric bills) at the Chapel in the Pines, 314 Great Ridge Parkway, Chapel Hill, NC 27516.
