On March 29, 1970, George married his devoted wife, Betty Mae Alexander in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  George was a good family man as well as a hard worker.  In his leisure time, George loved to be around family, especially his great grandchildren.  He was known as a die- hard Green Bay Packer’s fan.  George also loved to attend and watch the Harrisburg High School Football games.

George served as a faithful deacon at Faith Chapel Church of God In Christ for over 30 years.  He later joined Lingo Memorial Church of God in Christ in 2011 under the leadership of the late Benjamin J. Ravenel, Sr also serving as a faithful deacon.

On Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at 79 years of age, George exchanged mortality for immortality; joining in external life his parents and his two brothers, Dennis J.
