George Artishenko

George Artishenko, age 71 of South River, passed away Saturday January 17, 2026, at Arnold Walters Rehabilitation Center in Hazlet. Born in New Brunswick to the late Basil and Zofia Artishenko, he had resided in South River for most of his life.Before his retirement George worked as a field engineer for Eppendorf. He will be remembered fondly for his timeless dedication and volunteer work at St. Euphrosynia Belarusian Orthodox Church.

George is predeceased by his beloved wife Jenny Artishenko. Surviving are his siblings and their spouses Alex and Jeanie Artishenko and Julia and Troy Martino, his nephews Troy Jr., Alex Jr., Andrew and Daniel, his niece Cassie and great niece Avery and great nephew Ander, as well as many loving cousins and friends.

Calling hours at the Maliszewski Funeral Home will be on Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 4pm until 8pm. Panihida Service begins at 7pm. Funeral services are Friday 10am at St. Euphrosynia Belarusian Orthodox Church, South River with prayers beginning at 9:30am at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Saint Peter & Paul Cemetery, South River.
