Share your Memorial with Family & Friends On the morning of December 23rd, 2022, George E. Artz Jr passed peacefully in his home surrounded by loved ones after a year long battle with cancer.George was born on June 12th, 1941, in Norfolk, Virginia to Marguerite and George Artz Sr. He worked in computer science before moving to Florida, where he created a legacy in Cocoa Beach, Florida that still stands today. The Thirsty Turtle was transformed into Coconuts on the Beach in the mid 80s and quickly became 'the place to be on Cocoa Beach'!George is predeceased by his parents Marguerite and George E. Artz Sr. and daughter Lisa.George leaves behind three children; Christina, Morgan and George, as well as four grandchildren, Zane, Koda, Graden, and Waylon. George is also survived by his brother Charlie and sister Gale, as well as countless other family members and friends.Throughout his life, he touched so many souls. In his last days, the impression he left on so many lives was evident by the mere fact that he never spent a moment without the presence of family and friends by his side. If love could've saved him, he would've lived forever. We will love you until the day after forever, and then a little more. We have no doubt you're catching lobster and some sunshine, embracing with your beloved daughter. Rest amongst the waves, George.
