George has a Bachelor BS Chemical engineering from Polytechnic Institute of Bucharest, Romania (1991) and obtained a Ph.D in Chemical engineering from Iowa State University (1998)
Survived by his spouse Cristina, son Daniel and beloving father Melu and Sister Anca and her family.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday January 5 at 2pm at Whitney Cemetery in Campton Hills, IL
By the Romanian Orthodox Priest Daniel Pop.
Visitations will be held on Wednesday January 4 at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 East Main Street, Saint Charles, IL 60174 from 5pm to 8pm including a traditional Romanian prayer service officiated at 6pm.

I am very saddened by the loss of George, which seemed so sudden. I became friends with George and Anca in graduate school and wish all of your family sincere condolences in this sad time. The photo is from a time George and a group of friends visited my hometown of Indianola, Iowa in the mid 1990s.
