George Bartow Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 1, 2025.
George Charles "Chuck" Bartow, 73, resident of Gunter, Texas, went home to be with God on May 23, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.
Born on April 16, 1952, Chuck grew up in Lexington, Michigan, alongside his three brothers. He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathy Ann, and their dog Luna, affectionately known as "the boss."
Chuck was a proud father to Brian, Andrea (Terry Jr.) Trost, and Lindsay (Jonathon) Zurinsky, and stepfather to Kristie, Nicholas, and Vincent. A cherished grandfather to Alysa (Gabe), Aryn, Zachary, Landon, Tyler, and Victoria, as well as to seven step-grandchildren, who brought him endless joy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Gertrude (Sandgren) Bartow, his sister, Linda; and his granddaughters, Katie and Elaina Trost.
Chuck loved bowling, collecting baseball cards, and cheering on Detroit sports teams. Whether sharing stories, telling corny jokes, offering a helping hand, he left a lasting impact on everyone he met. He will always be remembered as "The Bread Man".
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate his life. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of George, please visit our Tree Store.
