George Edward Bertolasio, 79, of Conneaut, Ohio, passed away on January 7, 2026, in Westlake, Ohio. He was born on October 14, 1946, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, to the late Guido Bertolasio (1912–1995) and Lucille Bertolasio (1918–2005).

George was a graduate of Sharpsville High School, Class of 1964 and earned his degree from Youngstown University, Class of 1968, where he was a proud member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity.

Throughout his career, George was employed by W.T. Grant, Astatic/Conneaut Technologies, and K-Mart. He was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to providing for his family.

On September 5, 1970, George married the love of his life, Katherine Bertolasio (1949–2019). Together they shared many years of marriage and raised a family until her passing in 2019.

George was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine; his daughter, Debra Bertolasio (1973–2016); his brother, James Bertolasio (1941–2019); and his parents.

He is survived by his children: Edward Bertolasio (wife Jennie), Barry Bertolasio, and Michael Bertolasio (wife Lindsay); his sister-in-law, Carol Bertolasio; ten grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

George resided in Conneaut, Ohio, for many years and will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose legacy of love and dedication to family will live on through generations.

A celebration of life will be announced by the family.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Thompson-Smith-Nesbitt Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Conneaut.

My condolences to George´s family. He and I worked together at the Astatic Corp. in the 70´s. I remember playing many round of golf with him and enjoying the competition.
