George D. Wright III

George D. Wright, III, 42, of Meadville, PA, and formerly of Conneaut, passed away Monday, December 29, 2025, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh after a brief illness.

George was born June 14, 1983, in Conneaut, the son of George and Milagro "Tita" (Paneto) Wright, Jr. He graduated from Conneaut High School, Class of 2001, and went on to earn his degree from Allegheny College.

George was a simple man who loved the outdoors; camping and kayaking were among his favorite pastimes. He was a go with the flow kind of person. He was selfless, always ready to lend a helping hand. He dedicated his career to helping and caring for troubled children, and he once traveled on a mission trip to Peru to support children in orphanages. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family and friends.

He is survived by his parents, George and Tita Wright; his friend Amber Hamilton, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, George and Esther Wright, Sr., and his maternal grandparents, Felix and Claudia Paneto.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Thompson-Smith-Nesbitt Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Conneaut, Ohio, with Deacon Nick Iarocci officiating.

Calling hours will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
