George G. Blanchard, 89, of Methuen, MA passed away on August 19, 2025, at Community Hospice House, Merrimack, NH.

George was born on Sept. 13, 1935, to the late John C. and G. Eleanor (Joseph) Blanchard. He grew up in Lawrence, MA and attended local schools. George began his working career at First National stores as a meat cutter eventually becoming a meat dept. manager. In the 1970's George switched his career from retail to the wholesale side of the meat industry. A dedicated employee, he worked for firms such as Colonial Provisions, G&H Poultry and Provisions, and eventually retired from Robbins Beef, Boston, MA. Post retirement, he dabbled in part time work for Commonwealth Motors, Lawrence, MA.

George was married to the love of his life, Aurelie "Lee" (Clarke) Blanchard of Methuen for more than 62 years until her passing in 2021. They raised five children together in Methuen. George and Lee enjoyed many vacations together, multiple stays each year at their favorite coastal location: Lafayette Resort, Wells Beach, ME and most of all they loved spending time at family or individual gatherings for all occasions involving their grandchildren and great grandchildren.

George is survived by his children, David and his wife Helen of Derry, NH, Gregory and his wife Lesley of Methuen, Michelle Hall and her husband Timothy of Loudon, NH, Paul and his wife Kathleen of Methuen, son in law Donald Connors of Hudson, NH and his brother James Blanchard and his wife Deborah of Raymond, NH. Grandchildren Nick, Tyler, Corey, Bobby, Holly, Briana, Cameron, Meaghan and Timmy. Great grandchildren Kayleigh, Anaya, Analisse, Nicholas, Sophia, Scarlett, Mikaelyn, Ryleigh, Coralie, and Olive, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Aurelie "Lee" Connors of Hudson, NH; grandson, Kevin Blanchard of Methuen; brothers, John, Joe; and his sister, Ann.

At George's request, there are no calling hours. A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 25, 2025, at 11:00am, at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen, MA.
