George H. Bora

George H. Bora of Norwell died peacefully at the age of 90 on November 11, 2022 at Sunrise Assisted Living of Braintree.
George started his career working as a carpenter for the railroad and later became an entrepreneur, with his salon (Hair Mates) in Scituate. He was proud of his time spent serving his country in the U.S. Naval reserves. George enjoyed tinkering on small projects around his home, traveling, skiing, boating, and spending time with his family and friends.
In his later years, George retired to Sunrise of Braintree, where he developed wonderful relationships with the residents and staff who became a second family to him. While at sunrise he enjoyed his time sitting outside on the veranda or in the flower gardens soaking up the sun.
Devoted husband of the late Sandra S., (Wilson) Bora. Loving father of Diane S. (Bora) Daly and her husband Chris Daly of Norwell, David Bora of Quincy, and Allan E. Bora and his wife Lynn Bora of Hull. Proud grandfather of Kate and James Daly. Son of the late Eilert and Wilhelmina (Haugh) Bora. Cherished brother of the late Ethel (Bora) Curran and the late Eleanor (Bora) Scherer.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Saturday November 19, 2022 from 9-10:45 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Funeral service will be celebrated immediately following visitation at 10:45 AM in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
