George Bowman Obituary
TIPP CITY - George F. "Frank" Bowman, age 79, of Tipp City passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2021. Born April 17, 1942 in Crossville, Tennessee to the late David F. and Minnie I. (Johnson) Bowman.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents, son, Michael James Marcum, and sister, Jean Nemeth.
He is survived by his daughters; Lisa Marie (Charles) Slicer of Centerville, Ohio, Kim Bittorf of Englewood, Ohio, Deborah (Richard) Theis of West Milton, Ohio, siblings; Donald Bowman of Colorado, William (Linda) Bowman of Hillsboro, Ohio, and Harley Bowman of Colorado. Frank is also survived by his grandchildren; Chase and Alexander Slicer, Joseph, Michael, and Blaine Bittorf, Laura and Jessica Thies, and nine great grandchildren.
Frank was a member of the Tipp City American Legion Post 586, VFW Post 4615, the Troy Amvets Post 88, and Tony's Bada Bing. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and being with friends, but his greatest joy was being with his family.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371, starting at 10:00 AM until the time of the service at Noon. Contributions may be made in Frank's name to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave, Dayton, Ohio 45420. Online condolences may be expressed at www.fringsandbayliff.com.
