Sue Roberts Obituary
Sue Ellen Roberts, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on February 13, 2026, at Ohio's Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties in Middletown, Ohio. Born on June 1, 1955, in Barberton, Ohio, Sue was a guiding light in the lives of those who knew her.
As a great mother and grandmother, she dedicated herself to nurturing and supporting her family, imparting love and wisdom to each of them. Her role as a matriarch extended beyond her immediate family, as she created lasting connections within her community.
An active member of Tipp City Global Methodist Church, Sue volunteered her time and talents, contributing to mission trips and assisting with the summer meal program for children, known as "Lunch On Us." Her commitment to service reflected her caring spirit and desire to enhance the lives of others.
In her free time, Sue had hobbies that brought her immense joy. She loved crafting and traveling. Sue also enjoyed thrifting adventures with her dear friend Carol, where they created treasured memories together.
Sue is survived by her sons, John C. (Sarah) Roberts of Franklin, Ohio and Jacob P. (Emma) Roberts of Ypsilanti, Michigan; her brother, Jerry (Betty) Obney; and her sister-in-law, Karen Obney. She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Casey, Logan and Cash who will carry forward her legacy of love and kindness.
Sue was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John C. Roberts; her father, Robert Obney; her mother, Clarine (Linscott) Obney; and her brother, Robert Obney.
The visitation will take place on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home, located at 327 West Main St, Tipp City, OH 45371. The funeral service will follow at 11:30 AM at the funeral home.
The family suggests anyone wishing to make a memorial contribution in Sue's honor to please consider the Boy Scouts of America-Troop 395, through the Tipp City Global Methodist Church, 8 W. Main St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371. Sue Ellen Roberts will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, as they remember her warmth, creativity, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.
