Eric D. Beckman

Beckman, Eric D. age 54 of Tipp City, Ohio passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2026. He was born December 18, 1971 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Daniel and Patricia {Wittler} Beckman. He is survived by his parents and his siblings Melissa "Missy" (Don) Bizzarro of Beavercreek, Ohio, Gina (Jeremy) Goodwin of Lapel, Indiana and Sarah (Jared) Smith of Noblesville, Indiana.

Eric had a deep and lifelong love for the outdoors. He felt most at peace in nature- whether fishing, hiking, snowmobiling, or simply spending time in the natural world. That passion led him to earn an associate degree in Fish and Wildlife Management from Hocking College.

Eric was proud of his work in conservation and wildlife stewardship. He worked at a national fish hatchery in Utah, spent time working in Yellowstone, and served in Michigan with the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Through this work, Eric was able to live close to the land he loved and contribute in meaningful ways to the care and protection of wildlife.

Eric also received many services and participated in numerous activities through the Miami Count Board of Developmental Disabilities. The programs, support, and relationships he developed there played an important role in his life and provided him with opportunities, friendships, and a sense of belonging.

Eric shared a special bond with a close and dear friend who held an important place in his life. Their companionship brought him comfort, joy, and connection.

The family extends their sincere appreciation to the Miami County Board of Developmental Disabilities and Eric's provider team for their care, support, and dedication over the years.

A Visitation will be held 4:00-6:00 PM Thursday, February 19, 2026 at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, February 20, 2026 at St. Patrick Church, 409 E. Main St., Troy, Ohio 45373. Burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery, Troy.
