George Walker Bray, age 74, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at his residence. He was born September 17, 1950, in DeFuniak Springs, Florida to Charles Milford and Annie Lee Ward Bray. After school, George joined the United States Marines Corps. For courageously serving his country in Vietnam, he was awarded three purple hearts as well as various other medals. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, collecting arrowheads and spending time with family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Milford and Annie Lee Bray; one son, David Walker Bray; and three brothers, Donald Brackins, Larry Bray, and Charles Bray.

George is survived by four children, Ronnie Bray (Lyn), Terri Cotton (Luke), Devon Bray, and Justin Bray; as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 15, 2025, at Davis-Watkins Funeral Home, 1474 State Highway 83 North DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32433 beginning at 3:00 p.m. with Minister Joel Davis officiating. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Committal will follow at Walkers Rest Cemetery with honors provided by the United States Marine Corps.

Arrangements and services are under the direction of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home of DeFuniak Springs.
