George Thomas Brooks Jr

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of George Thomas Brooks Jr., who left this world on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at his home in Benton, Arkansas.

George was a cherished member of the community, and his absence will be felt by all who knew him. He loved to play music, gave generously, never met a stranger, and brought laughter and big stories everywhere he went.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sue Brooks, whose memory he cherished dearly. In addition to his dedication to his community, George was a devoted family man. He leaves behind a legacy through his three children: Christie Rice and her husband Bryan, George Thomas Brooks III, and Matthew Brooks and his wife Jessica.

George was also a proud grandfather and great-grandfather. His grandchildren, Charlene Dodson (and husband Hunter), Chelsea Hilborn, Noah Brooks, George Thomas Brooks IV (and wife Victoria), Rebecca Brooks, and Simone Brooks, each held a special place in his heart. His great-grandchildren, Heath, Tuff, Ollie, and Sailor, were the joy of his later years.

Throughout his life, George was a caretaker, fiercely protective of his family and loved ones. He will be remembered as a true "force of nature." His spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who loved him.

A celebration of George's life will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 1:00 pm at CenterPoint Church in Benton, AR.
