George Brown Obituary
COLONIE - George C. Brown, 80, passed away peacefully at Brookdale Senior Living Facility in Virginia Beach, Va., on Tuesday, April 4, 2023.
Born in Birmingham, Ala., he was the son of the late Odessa and George C. Brown Sr. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 50 years, Clarissa Brown.
George attended and graduated from Philip Schuyler High School. He served four years in the United States Army as a paratrooper before his honorable discharge. He was a big sports fan following the NBA and NFL. George was a restaurant connoisseur and enjoyed dining out with his wife.
He is survived by his son, Manoleto Brown; and his brother-in-law, Charles Lee Braddock. He was the proud uncle to Joshua E. Braddock, Shannon J. Braddock, and Charles Roshon Braddock.
A calling hour will be held on Monday, April 17, from 10 - 11 a.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. A service will begin at 11 a.m. with interment following in the Evergreen Memorial Park.
