George Arnold Buck Jr., lovingly known as "Buck," passed away on August 7, 2025, just three days after celebrating his 67th birthday. He was born on August 4, 1958, in Corsicana, Texas, to George A. Buck Sr. and Betty Joan Bickerstaff Buck. Buck was a longtime resident of the Mexia State School, where he made many friends over the years. He had a vibrant, outgoing personality and was known for his friendliness and warm smile. Buck loved attending rodeos, going to the movies-especially Westerns-and enjoyed eating out, with pizza being his favorite. He is preceded in death by his parents, George Sr. and Betty Buck. Buck is survived by his loving siblings, Debbie and Johnnie Green, and Richie and Elizabeth Buck; nieces and nephews, Candice Tippens, Justin Green and wife Clare, and Dustin Buck and wife Meghan; and great-nieces and nephews, Alex Tippens, Clayton Green, and Andrew Hurst. He also leaves behind numerous friends and dedicated caregivers who were like family to him. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home Chapel in Fairfield, Texas. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Randall Evett officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Corsicana. Buck will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
