I met George at Devro Playground when I was 17 years old. He was in his early 20's then and I looked up to him like he was my Big Brother. George was fun, wise, and a little bit crazy (but in a good way). Over the next few years, George gave me advice about many things including relationships, avoiding drugs, and my future.
George gave me the confidence to fulfill my dreams. I was very happy to reconnect, over the past few years, with my former softball coach who proudly wore "Dad" on the back of his jersey. George was a great friend and mentor who I always thought of as family. He lived his life to help others. I feel very fortunate to be among those that George helped. I will miss my coach, my friend, and my Big Brother. May he Rest in Peace. God Bless the Soul of George "Dad" Caffery! Amen, Brother! Tom McKelvey
