George W. Cartwright Jr.

George W. Cartwright, Jr., age 67, of Willoughby Hills passed away November 17 with his loving family by his side. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Frances (nee Arcuri), son Frank Cartwright (Sarah), daughter Andrea Lanese (Nick) and the light of his life, granddaughter Daphne June Cartwright

He was preceded in death by his parents, June and George Cartwright, sisters Gayle and Vicki Cartwright and his beloved baby grandson William John Cartwright.

George attended ATI in Wooster, Ohio where he earned a degree in Horticulture. He was a master gardener, craftsman, and artist. If it broke, he could fix it. If you could imagine it, he could build it.

He enjoyed fishing, metal detecting, cooking, Pinball and creating memories with his family. He loved decorating for the holidays and would light up the neighborhood with his prize winning Christmas display.

George would like to thank his family, relatives, friends and his children's friends who filled his home with love and laughter and made his life happy and complete. A special thank you to Crossroads Hospice (especially nurse Amanda) for their compassionate care for him and his family.

The family will receive friends Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 9 AM to 11 AM at The Divine Word Catholic Church, 8100 Eagle Road, Kirtland, Ohio followed by a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11 AM.
