George David Ciatti
George David Ciatti, 89, longtime resident of Chisholm, died on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Heritage Manor in Chisholm.
He was born February 21, 1935, to Gust O. and Helen Ciatti in Chisholm, Minn. He graduated from Chisholm High School in 1953 and attended Hibbing State Junior College in 1955. After graduation, George proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was united in marriage to Patricia Boisvert on December 29, 1957. George was employed and later retired as a supervisory deputy sheriff with St. Louis County.
He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and Shifters Car Club. An avid Vikings fan, George watched most games with his son David. He could fix almost anything around the house.
He is survived by his children: David and Jana (Joe Padella) Ciatti. George was blessed with his grandson, Jon (Ashleigh) Deguzman. He also had many cousins, nieces and nephews.
George was preceded in death by his wife, Pat; his parents, Gust and Helen; and numerous cousins.
A Memorial Mass will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Chisholm with Fr. Paul Strommer Celebrating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Innichment will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing at a later date.
