George H Clemens

George H Clemens, 81, of Newcomerstown, passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at his home. He was born February 8, 1944 in Illinois to the late Elmo and Alta (Bogart) Clemens. After High School, George proudly served in the U.S. Army. He later retired from Pretty Products. George was a member of the Victory Assembly of God in Newcomerstown, where he served as a Deacon. He loved attending his church men's breakfast group. He loved doing mission work, serving many overseas missions in places like China, Russia, Cuba, Ecuador, the Dominican Republic, and Haiti, smuggling Bibles in to share with people all over the world. George really loved helping people. He was a volunteer at Journey's End for many years, and he loved to read, especially his Bible and to go fishing. He loved baseball, especially the Cleveland Indians, as well as Ohio State football and the Chicago Bears. On March 21, 1976, George married his wife of almost 50 years, Bettie Kaye (Bordenkircher) Clemens, who survives. He is also survived by his children, Floyd (Cindi) McIntire of Columbus, Bob (Robin) McIntire of Indiana, Tina (Randy) McQuiston of Zanesville, Richard "Tim" (Nancy) McIntire of Indiana, Richie McIntire of Newcomerstown, and Autumn McIntire-Chagolla of Toledo; fourteen grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild on the way; several nieces and nephews including Gary and Terrie Baker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lee Ann Renee McIntire two brothers and two sisters.

A memorial service for George will be held at the Victory Assembly of God in Newcomerstown on Friday, August 29, 2025 at 1:00 pm.
