Clyne, George Ketcham
COLONIE - George Ketcham Clyne, 61, passed away peacefully Friday, September 26, 2025, at the Joan Nicole Prince Home, in Scotia, N.Y.
George was born in Albany, N.Y., the son of Gordon Clyne and Velva (Maser) Clyne.
George's interests were antiquing, creating kroj and other traditional European garb, jewelry making, and performing music.
He was an Overnight Counselor for Unity House of Troy for 31 years.
Survivors include his parents, Gordon and Velva (Maser) Clyne; his siblings, Brenda (Bill) Paloski, Roy (Bonnie Lehman) Clyne, and Patricia (Brian) Oliver; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his husband. David A. Ellenbrook; and his aunts, Patricia J Clyne, Linda K Clyne, Lorena (Maser) Jones and Opal (Maser) Johnson.
A celebration of George's life will be held at ROCKS bar, 77 Central Ave., Albany N.Y., on Saturday, October 18, at 2 p.m. The decorations will feature George's silk flower arrangements. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Joan Nicole Prince Home. Details can be found on their website www.joannicoleprincehome.org

I had the upmost privilege of taking care of George this past summer at the Joan Nicole Prince Home. He brought so much joy and life to each day and truly brightened up the home. He will be so very missed. I especially loved when he would show me his sewing projects. It was truly an honor to get to know him.
