George Jefferson Collins Jr. (Jerry), age 85, passed away peacefully on Feb. 9, 2026, at his home in Georgetown, TX. He was born in Houston on May 29, 1940, served in the US Army, worked as a Lineman for HL&P and retired from PrintMailers Inc. Jerry was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Cothran; son, Wade Collins; grandson, Cody Collins; sister, Joan Huff. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Deborah Collins; son David Collins and his wife Shannon; stepdaughter Emily and her husband Louis Hunter, stepdaughter Kat Watson and her husband Drew Harvey; 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held on March 1, 2026, at 2 pm at the Heritage at Vizcaya event center, 5000 Pietra Ln, Round Rock, TX 78665. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Hospice Austin. hospiceaustin.org

I am grateful we had the honor of taking you to your High School reunion. We had a lot of fun hearing your old stories and driving by your old house. I'm glad Stevie, your great great niece got to meet you. She still plays with the cradle that you gave her that you made. We will keep that forever. I enjoyed our times sharing a glass of wine or a DQ blizzard. So many fun memories of you, Uncle Jerry. You were a blessing to me. Welcoming me into the family. I love you.
