George Cook

George Cook, 82, of Byhalia, Mississippi died peacefully at their home in Sardis, Mississippi on November 27, 2025 with his wife of 35 years, Lora Cook and daughter Micki Allen by his side. Ten minutes after, the last thanksgiving guest had left. He retired from FedEx after 25 years of faithful service as a GSM Mechanic. George loved airplanes, HD motorcycles, and antique cars. He leaves behind his wife, Lora Stevens Cook; three daughters, Rita Kato (Bill- his bff), Shawn Land (Tim Hall), and Micki Allen (Chet); granddaughters, Candis Mohr (Matt), Paige Travisio (James), Kelsey Allen (JJ), Ronni Hitt (Gage); grandsons, Ritchie Land, Austin Allen, and Bergen Land; great granddaughters Sadie Mae, Kodi B, Eleanor, and Charlotte; great grandsons, JB, Kullen, Carter, and Easton; siblings Georgia Upton (Walter), and Sherrye Livingston (Robert). He was preceded in death by his parents Ralph Sr. and Monnie Cook; siblings Monta Jean Evans (Pete), Ralph Jr. (Ann), and Jerry (Emily). He was loved and respected by everyone that knew him and had a heart of gold. He loved his pups, Little and Lola. They stayed by his side to the very end. In the 35 years of being together, I never needed or wanted for anything. There will never be anyone like him. A celebration of life service to be held at a later date.
