Obituary published on Legacy.com by Tuttle Funeral Home on Nov. 11, 2025.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of George Dziuba Jr., who left us peacefully on November 7, 2025, at the age of 88. George was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, and his presence in the lives of those who knew him will be deeply missed.
Born to the late Carrie Fudala and George Dziuba Sr., in Wallington, NJ. George's life was one of service, kindness, and generosity. At the age of 19, George joined the United States Army, where he proudly served as a Paratrooper from 1957 until 1963. His time in the military shaped his character, and his sense of duty and discipline carried over into every aspect of his life.
After leaving the Army, George married Michele Greer, and together they raised a family in Oak Ridge, NJ. George's entrepreneurial spirit led him to create and run Mountain Green Landscaping, Inc., a successful landscaping business he owned and operated for over 30 years. Even after retiring from his business, George kept himself busy, taking on a job at Home Depot in Roxbury Township, where he was known for his helpfulness and friendly demeanor.
Those who knew George would describe him as the nicest man you could ever meet-outgoing, kind, and always ready to lend a hand. He was a gentle soul with the patience of a saint, and he would never speak ill of anyone. George had an incredible gift for making people laugh. A true jokester at heart, he had a way of lighting up any room he walked into, putting a smile on everyone's face, making everyone around him feel a little lighter and a lot happier. His selflessness and willingness to help others, at any time, left a lasting impression on everyone who crossed his path.
George's love for his wife, children, and grandchildren knew no bounds. He loved all children and he would rarely miss and opportunity to share a story or spend time playing with his children, grandchildren or the neighborhood kids. They all, in turn, adored his warmth, kindness and humor.
George had a soft spot for animals, particularly his beloved dog Cody, whom he rescued and cherished. Cody was a constant companion, often seen by George's side as they traveled through town. He was also known for his meticulous care of his yard, which was always beautifully maintained.
In addition to his love for animals, George had many other passions. He enjoyed the great outdoors, especially tennis and falconry. He had a deep love for science, particularly astronomy. He could often be found gazing at the stars and planets through his telescope, fascinated by the wonders of the universe. Music was another love of George's. He taught himself how to play both acoustic and electric guitars, with "Puff the Magic Dragon" being his children's favorite song. During the winter months you could hear George cheering for his favorite basketball team, the NY Knicks. George also loved watching the four tennis Grand Slams with his daughter, Kelly.
George was a true romantic. After the loss of his beloved wife, Michele, with whom he shared 43 years of marriage, he chose not to date. He often told his children, "Your mother was the only woman for me." Despite this, George found comfort and connection in his community. He became an active member of the Golden Age Club of Jefferson Township, where he relished the many dinner dances, trips and activities. George was known for his fantastic dancing, and it was a common sight to see the ladies pulling him back on the dance floor for one more dance.
George is survived by his three children: Sean Dziuba, Kevin Dziuba and Kelly Korszoloski and her husband Michael. He is also survived by his five grandchildren: Alyssa, Christopher, Casey, Sean, and Michael as well as his great-grandchild, Moriah.
George's kind heart, wonderful generosity and unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a life well-lived. May his memory be a blessing to his family and friends.
May you rest in peace, George. You will be forever loved and never forgotten.
