George Michael Evans

George Michael Evans, of Clyde, Ohio, passed away on January 12, 2026, in Naples, Florida. He was 57 years old.

George was born on July 3, 1968, in Elgin, Illinois, to Richard and Priscilla Evans. He was a devoted son, husband, father, and brother whose life was rooted in faith, family, and service to others.

George graduated from Port Charlotte High School and went on to earn his undergraduate degree from Cleveland State University. He later fulfilled his calling to serve justice by earning his Juris Doctor from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. George dedicated his professional life to the practice of law, serving as an attorney with the Huron County Public Defender's Office and later in private practice throughout northwest Ohio. His work reflected a deep commitment to advocacy, fairness, and compassion for those he served.

On April 9, 2006, George married Nazym Evans and together they built a family grounded in love, faith, and steadfast devotion to one another.

George is survived by his beloved children, Michael Evans, Ellyn Evans, Matthew Evans, and Miriam Evans; his mother, Priscilla Evans; his sister, Christine Evans; and his wife, Nazym Evans and his former wife Patricia Liddy. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Evans.

Above all else, George was passionate about following Jesus and loving his family well. His faith guided his life, his work, and his relationships, and it was evident to all who knew him. He will be remembered for his integrity, his gentle strength, and his unwavering dedication to those he loved.

George's legacy lives on through his children, his family, and the many lives he touched through his faith and his work.
