Loretta La Rosa

Loretta LaRosa, 93, of Naples, Florida, passed away on February 11th, 2026. She was born in Philadelphia, PA, on January 25, 1933. Loretta graduated from John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls' High School. She was married to Joseph LaRosa, Sr., in March 1953. They had two children, Joseph and Lynne.

Loretta had a long career in accounting with Mobile Oil Corporation, and then, after her retirement, with Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. She had a passion for cooking for her family, crocheting for all the babies that came into her life, her faith, reading and writing, shopping, and, most of all, spending time with her family. Loretta and her husband, Joe, traveled the world together. In her later years, she began writing her memoirs and enjoyed Hallmark & Lifetime movies.

She was predeceased by her parents, Emily and Paul Tortella, her son Joseph LaRosa, Jr., and her daughter-in-law, Clare LaRosa.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph LaRosa, Sr., and her daughter, Lynne Brascetta. Her grandchildren are Joseph LaRosa III, Christian LaRosa, Samantha Valenti (nee. Brascetta), and her husband, Derek, Jonathan Brascetta, Gary Brascetta, and Valentino LaRosa. Her great-grandchildren, Viviana, Jon-Paul, Sofia, Jagger and Athena. Her sister, Joan Papaleo; her brothers-in-laws, Frank and Anthony LaRosa, and their wives, Roe and Joan; and her sister-in-law, Rosalie Capella, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Loretta's family is at peace knowing she is reunited with her son, daughter-in-law, and loving parents.

Friends and family will be received starting at 9:30 am, followed by the Funeral Mass at 10 am on Friday, February 13, 2026, at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 5130 Rattlesnake Hammock Rd, Naples, FL 34113.
