Christine De La Rosa, 73, Altus, passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at her home.
Christine was born on March 5, 1952, in Childress, Texas to Leon and Anita (Beltran) Ornelas. She married Sebastian De La Rosa, Jr., on January 26, 1971, in Vernon, Texas. They moved to Altus where Anita worked for Kellwood for many years. She then worked for the Air Force Inn as a housekeeper at Altus Air Force Base for several years before retiring. Christine enjoyed music, dancing and playing bingo. She was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Greg Ornelas; a sister, Stella Wright; and a sister-in-law, Norma Ornelas.
Survivors include her husband, Sebastian, of the home; four children, Melissa Belles and husband, Stephen, Carlotta Williams and husband, Jeremy, Sebastian De La Rosa, III and wife, Brigida, and Carissa Harris and husband, DeSean; her grandchildren, Jeremy Jr., Adrianna and husband, Aaron, Miranda and husband, Jack, Janessa, Xavier, Stephen, III, Jalysa, Sebastian, IV, Bryson, Elizah, Pierliss, Gianna, and one more on the way; two great grandchildren, Judah and Malachi; four brothers, Victor Ornelas and wife, Frances, Raul Ornelas, Louis Ornelas, and Joe Ornelas; and many nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
A memorial service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, December 27, 2025, at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dale Donnell officiating. A Celebration of Life will follow at the service at the Privett Event Center, 1320 N. Forrest Street, Altus. Services and cremation are under the care of the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home and Crematory.
