George Fadel III Obituary

George Edward Fadel, III, 89, of Paw Paw, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at his home in Paw Paw. He was born Dec. 27, 1935, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of George Edward Fadel, Jr., and Adeline Ann (Jansen) Fadel.
George was a police officer for the Village of Paw Paw for 30 years and spent 28 of those years as the Chief of Police. He also taught Adult Education and High-Risk children's programs for over 20 years in Paw Paw. George loved nature and enjoyed feeding his squirrels and deer. He lived on Ackley Lake for 54 years, going out on his pontoon boat and enjoying the lake life. Above all else, George adored his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Patricia Ann (Neaderhiser) Fadel; his children and their spouses, September Dawn (Trace) Kirvan, Jeffery Michael (Sherry Mastinbrook) Fadel and Jason Mark (Brenda Cannon) Fadel; grandchildren, Allisha Marie Fadel, Ashley Dawn Kirvan and Holly Ann Kirvan; his dog, Rocky; and dear friends, Bill and Cindy Booth, Mike and Mary Aalfs and Tommy and Margaret Bell.
George was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Lynn Cunningham.
In accordance with George's wishes, there will be no public services. Memorial contributions in memory of George may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
