Rev. George William Fowler, Sr. Rev. George William Fowler, Sr., God�s Loyal Servant, went home to be with the Lord, April 8, 2010, leaving behind many followers who loved him dearly. They�ll always remember hearing him say, �You�ve gotta know that you know that you know�. Rev. Fowler was born August 5, 1927 in Chadbourn, NC, the son of the late Leo Fowler and Beulah Nobles Fowler. He was also preceded in death by a son, Kenneth G. Williams; a brother H.L. Fowler and a sister, Elizabeth Hollings. Rev. Fowler was the founder and pastor of Federal Point Pentecostal Freewill Holiness Church and had preached for over 50 years. He had received a Doctorate of Theology Degree. He always had a kind word for everyone. Rev. Fowler is survived by his wife, Iris Pope Fowler; his children, Linda Brown and husband Roy, Patricia Spivey, Cheri Bundy and husband Wayne, Pam Lewis and husband Harry, George W. Fowler, Jr. and wife JoAnn, Steve W. Williams and wife Marsha and Michael W. Williams and wife Ruth; two brothers, Rev. Thomas Fowler, Sr. and wife Mary and Allan Fowler; a sister, Jospehine Miressi and husband Jerry; a daughter-in-law, Sylvia Williams; grandchildren, Katie Sellers, Jeff Wood, Jonathan Wood, Justin Wood, Shane Blackburn, David Bundy, Amanda Bundy, Daniel Bundy, Joshua Bundy, Jamie Fowler, Tony Fowler, Scott Cottle, Alex Williams, Steven Williams, Julie Williams, Rebecca Huseman, Christina Bullard, Theresa Hunt, Davis Santello, Mike Williams, Cathy Wells, Carol Lewis and Mac Lewis. He is also survived by 26 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 4-6 PM Saturday at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Monday at Federal Point Pentecostal Church with Rev. John Butler and Dr. Edna Cavanaugh officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
