George Frech Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brickman Bros. Funeral Home - Willoughby from Nov. 16 to Nov. 18, 2025.
Surviving many illnesses and surgeries, often people would tell George that he had nine lives. On Wednesday, November 12, 2025, George used up his ninth life passing away peacefully at home surrounded by his family.

George dedicated 35 years of his life to Sears as an on-road service tech before retiring in 1997. After retirement, he spent his days doing what he loved best, tinkering in his garage repairing yard equipment and various other projects.

He always had a curious mind, reading every magazine and paper he could get his hands on. George had a variety of interests including fishing, hunting, garage sales, flea markets, gardening, baseball and drag racing.

Through all his illnesses he was always optimistic and had a great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends and his faithful four- legged companion, Lucky.

George was the beloved husband of Bonnie for 48 years; dear father of George Jr. (deceased), Tammie (Tom) McLoughlin, John (Channon) Frech and Laura (Sean) Mitchell; grandfather of 7; brother of Earl (Kathy) Frech, Kathy Schmitt and Chris (Alex) Frech.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday Nov. 25 at 10 AM at St. Justin Martyr Church, 35781 Stevens Blvd. in Eastlake, Ohio.

Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Hospice of the Western Reserve or your favorite charity.

Don't cry because he is gone – smile because he was here.
