George F. "Corey" Genthner

PLEASANTDALE George "Corey" Genthner, 77, of Martin Lane passed away Friday October 24, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Cohoes he was the son of John and Leona Bell Genthner. He was a graduate of Troy High School.
George was a printer by trade and had been employed by Seton Health in Troy and retired in 2014. Earlier in his career he was employed by the Troy Record and Brown's Printing.
George was a dedicated fireman who served with the Pleasantdale Fire Department as both a past chief and commissioner. Earlier in his career he served as a call man for the Green Island Fire Department. He also was a member of the All-Troy Athletic Club.
He was a NASCAR enthusiast and enjoyed driving his red convertible, listening to country music and watching game shows.
He was the husband of Beth Stamas-Genthner, who survives, and the late Rayanne Mayer Genthner. He was the devoted father of George M. Genthner (Melissa) of Mechanicville, Brian C. Genthner and Jason P. Stamas of Troy. He was the brother of the late John Genthner and proud grandfather of Codi M. Genthner (Hayleigh) of Troy and Kalissa Law (Andrew) of Melrose. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 7 pm at Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St., (Rt.32), Waterford.
Relatives and friends may visit with his family at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-7 pm prior to the funeral service.
