Patricia J. Bouchard

COHOES – Patricia J. Bouchard, 92, of Waterside Way, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 10, 2025, at Troy Center Nursing Home. Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Matilda Sheehan Powers. She was educated in Green Island schools.
Patricia worked for many years at the former Jupiter Department Store in Cohoes, where she was known for her dedication and kindness, before retiring after 15 years of service. She was a member of the Green Island Senior Citizens and enjoyed spending time with friends playing cards and Bocce.
Patricia was truly one of a kind, with a spirited personality marked by her Irish temper and a heart full of love. She was stubborn and sassy, yet always sweet and caring. She told you how it was, whether you liked it or not, and did so with honesty and humor that everyone came to love. She had a gift for making friends everywhere she went and loved to chat and share stories in the hallway, always eager to introduce her family to anyone who would listen. She loved a good lunch date and never turned down some potato chips or M&Ms. Patricia also had a fondness for trinkets that brought her joy and enjoyed relaxing with her favorite television shows. She especially treasured the time spent with her family.
Family was at the center of Patricia's life. She was deeply devoted to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who brought her endless pride and happiness.
She was the widow of Joseph Bouchard Sr., who passed away in 2008. She is survived by her loving children Paula J. Hart, Joseph Bouchard Jr., and Donna M. Bouchard of Halfmoon, and was predeceased by her children Lisa M. Delisle and David M. Bouchard. She is the mother-in-law of Neal Delisle of Troy and the sister of the late John F. Powers and Marilyn Surprenant. She is the proud grandmother of Scott Scarchilli (Kim), Geoff Scarchilli (Corrine), Tiffany Colangelo (Craig), Mark Honan (Kate), Matthew Honan (Zoe), Meghan Bouchard (Mel Fuchs), and Ashley Geren (Justin). Eleven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:30 a.m. from the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte. 32), Waterford, and at noon at St. Mary of the Assumption Church. Interment will follow in Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the funeral home on Friday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. prior to the service.
