Andrew J. Bouchard passed away peacefully at his home after a long illness on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. He was born on July 22, 1951, in Bergeronnes, Quebec to the late Ligoriel and Jeannette Lapointe.
At the age of six, Andrew was adopted by Harold and Lillian Bouchard of Sinclair. From a young age, he embodied hard work, community spirit, and an unwavering dedication to those around him. Andrew was a pillar of the Sinclair community, serving for many years as Treasurer of both the Sinclair Fire Department and the Sinclair Sanitation District. He was also a proud and longtime business owner who left a lasting mark on the area he cherished.
Andrew began his career with Fraser Papers in 1971 and remained a loyal employee until his retirement in 2002. Despite being diagnosed with, Parkinson's disease at just 46 years old, he never allowed his illness to define him. His determination, strength, and love for life shone through everything he did - especially in running his beloved Long Lake Camping Area, which he proudly operated for 51 years.
Andrew was predeceased by his parents Ligoriel and Jeannette Lapointe, his adoptive parents Harold and Lillian Bouchard, his infant daughter, Audrey Marie, his brothers Jean-Marc, Roger, Edilbert, and Claude LaPointe, his sister Ginette Brunet, and a very special cousin Raymond Thibodeau, along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Family was the heart of Andrew's world. He loved deeply, gave generously, and always put his family first. He is survived by his devoted wife of 44 years, Juliette Bouchard; his two daughters, Amy Pelletier and her husband, CJ Pelletier of Fort Kent, and Jamie Lee Bouchard of Saint Agatha. His greatest joys were his grandchildren: Hayden and Hudsen Pelletier of Fort Kent, and Bailey Pelletier and her partner, Tylor Corriveau of St. David. Andrew found such joy in his great-grandchildren, Aliyah Pelletier, Emerson Corriveau, and Baby Corriveau. He is also survived by his brothers Aurele Lapointe and Yves Jean and sisters Daniele Lapointe, Claudette Lapointe, Johanne Marcoux and as well as many nieces and nephews who will fondly remember his kindness, humor, and strength.
Relatives and friends may offer their condolences at St. Joseph Church in Sinclair, Maine, on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 9:00 until time of funeral. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Joseph Church in Sinclair, Maine, at 10:00 a.m.
