Bazar, Marilyn J.
WATERFORD - Marilyn J. Bazar, 95, formerly of 1st St., passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Eddy Memorial Geriatric Center. Born and educated in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Ella Mae Wheeler Leonard.
Marilyn had worked for 20 years at R.P.I. in food service. She enjoyed going to the casino and playing Bingo.
Survivors include her children, Richard D. Bazar (late Donna), of Waterford, Linda L. Salvaggio (late Frank), of Halfmoon, Mary Ellen Norton (Bill Mossey), of Troy, and Christopher B. Bazar (Denise), of Mechanicville. She is the proud grandmother of Richard Bazar Jr., Jessica Rice (Joe), Frank and Jennifer Salvaggio, Paul Norton, Jason Norton (Andrea), Megan McKeever (Joseph) and Kristin Bazar; and great-grandmother of JJ, Jaxson, Jewel, Avery, Mason, Kensey, Caydence, J.P. Baylor and Madelena. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be Monday at noon, at Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St., (Rte. 32), Waterford.
Relatives and friends may visit with her family at the funeral home on Monday, from 10 a.m. to noon, prior to the funeral service.
