George Robert Goynes, age 98 of Lake Milton passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Monday, November 10, 2025 at his son's residence with his family by his side. He was born on Nov. 7, 1927 in Pricetown, OH the son of the late Gay Howard Goynes and Mary Adeline (Besse) Goynes. Bob married the love of his life Lucille L. Sickle on July 30, 1950 and they have enjoyed 72 years of marriage together until her passing on April 30, 2023. He served his country faithfully during WWII in the US Army Air Corp from 1945- 1947. Bob lived in Lake Milton his entire life and worked at Packard Electric in Warren as a Tow Motor Driver for 34 years retiring in 1982. He is a member of the Lake Milton American Legion Post #737. Bob loved to go deer hunting, camping, ride bicycles, and watching NASCAR where his favorite driver is #88 Dale Earnhardt Jr. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lucille, a daughter Deborah Champion, sister: Ruth Goynes and 2 brothers: Gene & Glenn Goynes.

Memories of George will be carried on by his loving family; his son Terry (Julie) Goynes of Austintown, OH, 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Calling hours will be at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Saturday, November 15, 2025 from 10:00am - 12:00pm with funeral service to follow at 12:00pm. Bob will be laid to rest at Palmyra West Cemetery in Diamond, OH.
