George L. Graham, Jr., age 65, of New Castle, DE, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 29, 2022.
Born in Wilmington, DE on February 26, 1957, he was a devoted son of Rose M. (Hargan) Graham and the late George L. Graham, Sr. George worked as a maintenance worker for the Delaware River & Bay Authority until being involved in a traumatic automobile accident resulting in a debilitating spinal cord injury.
A true outdoorsman, George enjoyed hunting, fishing, and crabbing. In his spare time, he loved woodworking and created many beautiful pieces. George also participated in Civil War reenactments. George had an eclectic taste in music, and had an extensive library of 8 tracks, cassette tapes, and compact discs. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family especially around the holidays.
George was preceded in death by his father, George L. Graham, Sr. He is survived by his daughter, Amy (Graham) Stanley of Felton; mother, Rose M. (Hargan) Graham of New Castle; siblings, James Graham (Maryann), Rose White, and John Graham, all of New Castle; grandchildren, Harry, Amilia, and Birdie; and nieces and nephew.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 North DuPont Highway, New Castle, DE.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in George's memory to Magee Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation, Development Department, 1513 Race Street, Philadelphia, PA 19102-1177 or online by clicking here.
