It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of George "Porgie" E. Graves Jr. on August 31, 2025, at the age of 66. Born on December 10, 1958, in Montpelier, Vermont, George, affectionately known as "Porgie," was a cherished husband, father, brother, and friend whose warm spirit touched all who knew him.

George spent his career working for Walbridge Electric, Global Values in Barre, and many years ago at the Stockyard Inn, where he left a lasting impression on his colleagues and customers alike. He was known for his unwavering commitment to his work and his ability to build lasting relationships with those around him.

A true outdoorsman at heart, George found joy in hunting, fishing, and exploring the natural beauty of Vermont. His passion for the great outdoors was only rivaled by his love for his family. He is survived by his devoted spouse, My-Lanh Graves, and his four beloved sons, Coti, Kyle, Logan, and Ryan Graves. He will also be remembered fondly by his siblings: Allison Leene, Laurie Swanson, Jill Stowe, Chris Graves, and Jay Graves, as well as Scott Graves, all of whom cherished him deeply.

The family invites friends and loved ones to gather for a public visitation at Guare & Sons Funeral Home on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 2:00 PM, to celebrate George's life and share collective memories.

In this time of mourning, we reflect on the laughter, love, and light that George brought into our lives. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
