George Hamilton Obituary
George graduated from Kent State University where he was captain of the basketball team. After serving in the United States Air Force at Scott Air Force base, he returned to North Canton where he worked at the Hoover Company for 36 years. George participated in local athletics playing basketball, volleyball, fumbleball, and played golf to the age of 89. He was inducted into the Greater Canton Old Timers Basketball Hall of Fame in 2002 and was deeply honored to be enshrined into the Hoover High Athletic Hall of Fame in 2016. George was a loyal fan and supporter of the Ohio State Buckeyes and all Hoover High sports, especially the girls' softball team. He will be deeply missed by his loving family and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
The family will receive guests for calling hours on Friday, August 12th from 11AM to 1PM at the Reed Funeral Home NORTH Canton Chapel. Service will begin at 1PM with Pastor Gary Smith officiating. There will be no procession leading to the cemetery following the service.

Seeing George always brought a smile to my face. He was one of the 1st people to ask me how I was doing and he genuinely cared. He was such a kind and happy man and will be missed. Rest In Peace, George.
