George Kacey Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Beck-Givnish Funeral Home on Oct. 16, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

George Francis Kacey, of Fairless Hills, PA, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on October 27, 1942, in Pittsburgh, PA, George was the son of the late George Kacey and Catherine Flaherty.
George was predeceased by his beloved wife, Charlotte Karcher Kacey, in 2004, with whom he shared a deep and enduring love. Together, they raised their son, Michael Kacey (Sandy). Later in life, George found companionship and love with his second wife, Carolyn Mansfield Kacey. He was also preceded in death by his cherished brothers, Pat and Bobby, whose memories he carried with him throughout his life.
A proud Army veteran, George served with honor in the Vietnam War, where he was part of the 3rd Brigade, 9th Infantry Division. His bravery in combat earned him the Bronze Star and several commendations, but it was his dedication, loyalty, and quiet strength that truly defined his service. George was known for his tireless work ethic, whether as a platform instructor or in the field, always going above and beyond in everything he did. His service in the military was a reflection of the man he was: determined, compassionate, and unyielding in his commitment to those he loved.
After his time in the Army, George enjoyed a fulfilling career in trucking, first as a driver, where his love for Peterbilts and Kenworths grew, and later transitioning into car and commercial truck sales. He was a true professional who took pride in his work and treated everyone with kindness and respect.
In his later years, George found peace in the simple joys of life. He spent countless hours watching his favorite game shows, Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune, finding joy in their familiarity. He also loved following the lottery, always hoping for a little luck.
George was a gentle soul who found great comfort in his family-especially his son Michael, of whom he was so proud. He also leaves behind the loyal companionship of "Bernie the dog" and "Buddy the bird," who, despite being Michael's pets, were loved as if they were his own.
George's passing leaves a profound emptiness in the hearts of those who knew him. He was a man of quiet strength, loyalty, and love. His memory will be cherished forever, and his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were touched by his kindness.
Family and friends are invited to George's Life Celebration on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 from 9:00-11:00am at Beck-Givnish Funeral Home, 7400 New Falls Road, Levittown, PA 19055. His Funeral Service will follow at 11:00am.
Interment with full military honors at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne.
