Obituary of George W. Kadle
George W. Kadle, age 86, of Gloversville, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Nathan Littauer Hospital Nursing Home, Gloversville.
He was born May 12, 1937, in Gloversville, the son of George and Mildred (Ballou) Kadle. He served in the US Air Force and was later employed at Electro-Metrics of Amsterdam for many years. He was a self-employed electrician following his retirement. An avid hunter, he taught hunting and safety classes. He enjoyed fishing, making his own bullets, motorcycle riding and he bowled his entire lifetime.
George is survived by two daughters, Robin Wooster (Edward) and Bonnie Atty; a brother, Joseph M. Kadle (Carolyn), a sister, Jacqueline Dutcher (Doug); as well as six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Elizabeth I. (Lince) Kadle; and two brothers, Robert "Mort" Kadle and Thomas Kadle.
Interment will take place in the spring at Mayfield Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the James A. Brennan Memorial Humane Society, 437 Nine Mile Tree Rd; Gloversville, NY 12078.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Homes, Gloversville.
