John Tretiak Obituary
He was born in Amsterdam, NY on July 11,1954 a son of the late Thomas and Mildred Tretiak. He was raised in Amsterdam and was a 1974 graduate of the former Wilbur H. Lynch High School.
John served in the United States Army from 1974 to 1977. He was stationed in Germany for a time.
He was employed for Mertz Transportation as a Bus Driver while living in Florida. He enjoyed transporting veterans to the Wounded Warrior events around the country.
John made many friends while bus driving and visited many places throughout the United States and Canada.
He is survived by two sisters, Chris (Dave) Montenaro of Amsterdam, NY and Sue (John) Taber of Amsterdam. A brother, Bill Tretiak of Florida. Nephews, Paul Montenaro, Dave (April) Montenaro and Aaric Montenaro. Nieces, Jessica Bogran, Ani and Alliana. As well as several cousins.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, the Montgomery County SPCA or to a charity of one's choice.
