Mike was born on October 19, 1948 in Winnfield, Louisiana to James Howard and Mildred Florence Gaar Kelley and passed away at his home on Saturday, October 18, 2025.
Mike was a resident of Keithville. He graduated from Winnfield Senior High School, then Northwestern State University with a Bachelor Degree in Animal Sciences. After graduating from Northwestern, he went to work for Codding Embryological Sciences where he was foreman of the donor herd. Later he operated and owned Flow Specialties with his father-in-law for over 40 years. He was married to the love of his life for 52 years, Carol Kelley. Mike loved flower and vegetable gardening, working with his hands, and just being outdoors. He loved old westerns, dancing, and he would break into song at any time. He had a passion for attending all of his children's and grandchildren's events. They were his heart.
