George E. Kuhn, age 86, of Linden, passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2025. Sharp Funeral Homes - Linden Chapel has been entrusted with funeral arrangements. George was born on July 19, 1939 in Evans City, Pennsylvania to the late George & Claudine (Albert) Kuhn. He graduated from Mars High School, class of 1958. He married his high school sweetheart, Kay Oesterling on April 23, 1960. George worked at Herman Pneumatic in Zielinople, PA, and was sent to Detroit to install equipment at the Budd Co. where he was offered a position. They moved to Detroit and were soon blessed with four children.
From a young age George exemplified a strong work ethic. George and Kay were DIY’ers and restored a number of homes giving them a second life. As busy as he was, he always took the time to be a dependable husband and father. He couldn't claim to be a religious man, but he believed in good morals and respected the Ten Commandments. George loved fall for its beautiful colors and crisp weather, especially around Columbus Day. A lifelong enthusiast of football, he was a devoted Lions fan.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kay Kuhn; for children, Sheila (Ken) Baker, Brian Kuhn, Brenda (Allen) Matthews and Leslie (Ken) Johns; 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and other dear family members. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Janet.
